Foundation coursework sets the tone for your MBA experience at Loyola, reflecting our mission as a Jesuit institution to create a holistic education centered on 社会正义 and academic rigor. These 课程 introduce students to the 核心 principles and decision-making skills required in today’s modern business world. Foundation 课程 must be taken at the start of the MBA 程序.  

• 应用商业数学(3学分): This course introduces students to fundamental concepts covering statistics, 金融, 经济学, 以及电子表格在商业应用中的使用. All students are required to take this course in their first semester enrolled. AACSB-accredited Business and STEM undergraduate graduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.0分及以上免修应用商业数学.

Loyola’s dynamic 顶石 provides a unique opportunity for MBA students to put what they’ve learned during their 选修 and 核心 coursework into practice through an experiential consulting practicum (3 credit hours) and final 顶石 project (3 credit hours). Students can choose from practicum options designed to reflect the current business landscape and provide participants with meaningful connections working with real business leaders in nonprofits, 创业公司, 或者跨国公司. 体验式咨询实习选项可能包括:

• 非营利咨询实习 ——A live, 有非营利机构的咨询经验, allowing students to apply their functional 核心 acquired skills to a real-world scenario while living the mission of the university and giving back to the local community.
